From 21 May 2010 the duty to have a HIP has been suspended. However you need to have commissioned, but not necessarily received an Energy Performance Certificate before marketing of your property can commence.
The EPC needs to be available within the written sale particulars and should be made available within 28 days of the property being marketed.
