| DISPERSAL SALE MAY 2010 |
The sun was shining, and the weather was hot, From one to the next we all marched,
The local farmers gathered, Following Mr Abbey,
to bid on their favourite lot. We were thirsty and parched!
We started in the barn, The Auction finished after a long day,
with the small items first, We were blessed with the weather,
Grateful for the shade, On the 21st May!
The Auctioneer, working up a thirst!
The lots sold well, Burgers, buns and drinks sold,
With a vast array of bits and bobs; The catering van most welcome,
Covered in dust, As it was heaven to sip on something cold!
All sorts of odds and sods!
We then moved on into the field, Thank you to all that came,
bidders keen to spend their money, We appreciate your loyal support,
Having the final bid, As without you it would not be the same!
Tasted as sweet as honey!
Stone troughs, shovels, ploughs and a harrow,
Laid out in the field,
In rows as straight as an arrow!
