Recently sold by John Earle & Son was the former abattoir site, Hall Farm, Knowle. After two planning applications for residential redevelopment were both declined, despite both being supported by Solihull Borough Council, new plans were called for and Richard Abbey of John Earle & Son was brought in to give his opinion on the viability for commercial redevelopment.
The application was successful and Hall farm now has a future in offices and storage, a far cry from its less glamorous past as an abattoir. After being asked to market Hall Farm by formal tender, we set about an extensive marketing campaign. With the advertising bill topping £6,000, there was substantial interest in the site and an offer was accepted just prior to Christmas for a figure well in excess of the £1,500,000 guide price.
Also, soon to have a new purpose in life is the beautiful but derelict old farmhouse, it is understood the new owners of Hall Farm intend to redevelop it into their new company headquarters. All in all, a very successful sale for all parties involved.
