John Earle featured in Monty Don's recently televised programme 'My Dream Farm' where Monty was helping a Warwickshire Alpaca farmer re-engage with her land. As part of his advice he suggested the purchase of some livestock and to that end they visited the farm dispersal sale being held next door at Castle Farm where John Earle were conducting the auction of farm machinery and livestock.

Monty Don helped the farmer successfully bid for one of the many Lots of 20 sheep which were being auctioned by Richard Abbey, John Earle's Agricultural Partner and Auctioneer.

This TV exposure on Channel 4 was a surprise to Mr Abbey as Monty Don just turned up partway through the sale with a camera crew and filmed the various activities including the livestock sale. Monty Don did remark that farm sales like this give existing and new farm entrants an opportunity of buying a whole range of items from tractors, right down to tools and fencing equipment, more often than not at very realistic prices.

John Earle will be holding another such sale on Friday 7th May 2010 near Meriden.
