During the early 1980s the Land Registry phased in, across the country, the requirement that when land and property was sold or transferred, the Title had to be registered with the Land Registry and must include a plan indicating clearly and accurately the boundaries of the ownership, including a north point and prepared to a recognised scale, usually 1:2500 in rural areas and 1:1250 in urban conurbations.
Our Surveyors will attend on site, take measurements and prepare to the required scale, in accordance with the Land Registry Practice Guide 40, an accurate plan marking thereon all physical features and boundaries so the owner's solicitor can then register the Title of the property with the Land Registry and so define in perpetuity the legal boundaries.

Where another party had registered land with the Land Registry that is obviously within our client's ownership, we can, with the aid of plans prepared following a site visit, supply the solicitors with accurate details of where an inaccuracy lies prior to the solicitor requesting a correction on the Land Registry plans, hopefully with the consent of the other party.
