All types of freehold and leasehold property has the potential of having a substantial value and on transfer, be it on death or during

lifetime, there is a potential liability for Inheritance Tax. In the Summer of 2008, the Chancellor did increase the thresholds below which IHT is not paid, but Executors require valuations for probate purposes of a deceased Estate as at the date of death.

Solicitors and Accountants also require a valuation of property being transferred or gifted to another person as at the date of transfer.
The Practice accepts instructions to undertake valuations of

all types of freehold and leasehold properties, be they cottages, houses, bungalows, flats, farms and farm land with vacant possession or subject to tenancies.
The Chartered Surveyors within the Practice are well experienced in negotiating with the various District Valuers' offices that have jurisdiction over the area of Solihull Borough, Warwickshire and East Worcestershire. When conducting such negotiations comparable evidence is drawn to the attention of the District Valuer in order to negotiate the best settlement for Clients, thus minimising payments of Inheritance Tax.
