Originally a Chapelry of
Henley-in-Arden. 6 miles
north west of
Warwick. The manor of Balsall was given to the order of the Knights Templars in the reign of King Stephen. The village lies near the centre of the old Forest of Arden. The Foundation of Lady Katherine Leveson is a thriving Christian Communit which was set up to teach children and care for older people within a Christian contect (rps.gn.apc.org/leveson/index.htm).
