Hampton Church Hampton High Street

http://www.hamptoninarden.org.uk

Located in the borough of Solihull, Hampton-in-Arden is a typical Arden village but is an increasingly popular area for commuters who need the "Birmingham International" or the "M42", both being a 5-minute drive away. The village was once part of the County of Warwickshire until the boundary changes in 1974. It lies in between Coventry, Solihull and Birmingham and is a short drive from the village of Knowle. The village name was changed from "Hampton" to "Hampton-in-Arden" in the 1840's, so not be confused with other villages called "Hampton". As the village is located within the historic Forest of Arden, "-in-Arden" was added to identify this village. There are a range of sporting facilities including Hampton-in-Arden Hockey Club www.hamptonhockey.org.uk Hampton-in-Arden Tennis Club www.hamptontennis.org.uk Hampton-in-Arden Squash and Racket ball club www.hamptonsquash.org.uk
