Salford Priors is a small rural village about 6 miles south of Alcester. The area has many fruit farms and market gardens. The River Arrow joins the river Avon at Salford Priors and is a popular location for Fishermen. St Matthews Church is situated in Salford Priors and the village also has two schools; Dunnington Church of England Primary and Junior School and Salford Priors C of E Primary and Junior School. Salford Hall at Abbots Salford is a beautiful Grade I Lister building, formerly a nunnery but now tastefully converted to a Best Western Hotel.
